Who can participate in the conference?
Can I attend the conference for free?
No, free participation is not possible. However, the costs can be reduced by purchasing an Early Bird ticket.
What is the conference duration?
The ICFG Plenary Meeting will take place from 20th to 24th September 2026.
It consists of a three-day conference followed by an additional hands-on workshop day (4+1).
The final day is offered free of charge by the ICFG.
Where will the conference take place?
The main conference venue will be located in the PLAZA Premium Darmstadt hotel in Darmstadt, Germany. However, the Gala Dinner, the plant tours and the social event on monday evening will take place at different locations in the region. More information regarding the venues and the program can be found on the respective pages on this website.
Will this be a digital conference?
There will be no digital attendance provided.
Registration & Payments
How can I register for the conference?
Once registration opens, please sign up via the registration page using your personal details. You will then receive an automatic registration confirmation by email.
We will review your registration and issue an invoice. Your registration is completed once we have received payment of the invoiced amount.
Are there any additional fees for international payments?
Please note that international transactions may incur bank or transaction fees. Any such fees must be covered by the conference participant.
How can I pay for the conference ticket?
Payment is made by bank transfer only. After we have reviewed your registration, you will receive an invoice containing our bank details (IBAN). Please arrange the transfer from your bank using the reference stated on the invoice.
International participants can pay via an international bank transfer (SWIFT). If your bank does not support direct IBAN/SWIFT transfers, please ask your bank to process an international transfer on your behalf, or use a corporate or university finance department where applicable. Please note that any bank charges for international transfers must be covered by the participant, and we must receive the full invoiced amount for the registration to be completed.
We do not offer credit card payment. If you have difficulties arranging a transfer from your country, please contact us using the email address provided below and include your invoice number.
Are there any special discounts or conditions?
We offer special discounts for members of ICFG and any accompanying person. Furthermore, we offer an early-bird discount. Details can be found on the registration page once published.
What is included in the price of the conference ticket?
The conference ticket includes all workshops, events, food and beverages and transport as well as the company visits. Accomodation is not included.
For accompanying persons, an additional accompanying program is offered from Monday to Wednesday, featuring visits to highlights of the region.
The evening events are shared with conference participants.
I have bought a conference ticket. Do I need to pay any extras to participate in the Gala Dinner?
No, the Gala Dinner is included in the conference ticket.
Will I receive confirmation of my registraion?
Yes, once registered, you'll receive an automated confirmation of your registration. Afterwards, we'll send you an invoice to be paid.
Do I need to bring my registration confirmation to the conference?
Please bring a valid form of photo ID to the registration desk so that we can confirm your attendance.
What is the refund policy?
Hotel bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before the day of arrival. Please note that any bank or transaction fees are the responsibility of the participant. Refunds will be processed net of any fees incurred so that no additional charges arise for the organisers.
